On 8/26/2012 I went to the Firestone Service center 2036 Sunrise Highway Bayshore NY.I needed my car inspected and made an appointment online.

I arrived at 7:00am that mourning and they brought my car in the shop. They informed me my engine light was on and diagnostic were needed to find out the code issue.

After the Tech. reads the diagnostic they said the problem was a gas cap leak and replaced the cap. then the tech finds another code error which references a sensor on the gas tank and says the tank needs to be removed to fix it.

Now I have just waited 4 hours for them to tell me this.

Im telling you right now this service center should not offer car inspections to anyone that has the engine light on because the diagnosis was trial and error not experience and expertise.I waited their for 4 1/2 hours only to leave without an inspection sticker on my car only to bring my car to the Ford dealer which the firestone service manager should have told me to go to in the first place.

Monetary Loss: $100.
