Verified Reviewer | Riverside, OhioAre they actually mechanics or just rely on diagnostic
Dayton ohio Airway rd took my car there, because antifreeze was leaking and I always have to put more in it because it would leak out when I dropped it off. There was no none in it they said they would do a diagnostic test called and told me it all came back fine and I said it leaks and they said no they didn't have any leaks and the test said it was fine but they tell me the frame of my car is rusted out and it's not safe to drive so I get home and I realize they didn't even put any antifreeze in it to see if it leaked that's why they didn't see anything there was nothing in it so I paid for a test that said OK and that's how they took it said it was fine maybe if you were to put antifreeze in it they would've seen the leak and as far as the frame rusting and I should jump my car well why didn't you notice that four months ago when it was there getting a new alternator put in so now do I really believe that the frame is rusted I don't know, but I know I'm not gonna go back there and I have been going there for 10 years maybe plus I don't like the new manager that's been there for several years. He's just kind of sarcastic so if you want to rule car repair person, find a place that actually the people went and know how to fix cars and not just go by what the computer says I'm not even got a call the place back to complain because I just don't feel like losing my temper and dealing with them so I wash my hands of this company
Preferred solution: I want nothing I just am never going to use you again
User's recommendation: don't use dayton ohio airway rd
Terrible service
First if all, I went to make an appointment and they told me they were completely booked for Saturday. When I went to make an online appointment for Saturday, I realized they DID have openings and my car could be worked on.
They are supposed to close at seven and i call at six to see if my car is done. No one called. They lie again and say they did call, THEY DID NOT. And i say give me fifteen minutes to get there and they tell me they're not going to wait for me because they're walking out the door.
And they're supposed to be open till 7:00 and they would not wait for me knowing I need my car and they just hung up on me.
Very rude, selfish, lying, not compassionate, not patient, not serving the clients. I want snd deserve an apology and some type of recompensation because he hung on me and left me without a car on a Saturday night.

Firestone opened a case and has basically ignored us since. Case number 264****
They installed the wrong parts, at least twice, by their own account. They would not release the vehicle to me before service was completed, when in frustration, I said I would just take it to an actual Mazda dealership. Why? Because, they said it might catch fire.
When they finally did release it to me, it did exactly what they predicted. Within 24 hours and less than 45 miles later, my wifes car was engulfed in flames, 15 seconds after we luckily were able to flee from it. I can still feel the flames on my ankles.
We almost died.
This Firestone center had the audacity to bill us for the work done, even after they knew that our car had caught on fire the day prior. That is bad business.
I expect that money to be refunded. It was their inept service and subsequent negligence, that created this issue.
Whoever oversees or signs off on such work, is also at fault. I hope the mechanic was at least retrained, if not fired.
Not only have the not refunded the money, they havent compensated us for our losses due to their negligence.
If you have fuel line issue, dont bring it here.
Preferred solution: Full refund plus compensation for put of pocket expenses.

RE: 180 US-46 Denville, NJ Location
To whom it may concern, I recently (11/11/2022) frequented the Denville location for servicing of my vehicle. Although I do much of my own work to my vehicles, tires changing tires is a situation Im not equipped to complete, so I leave this to professionals because they have tire changing and balancing machines. However in this case I have to say that professional is a term that cannot be used for any of the service I was provided on this Friday (11/11/2022). I dropped my truck off asking for the service of having my tires, which were bought in this location not 3 months prior, mounted on a new set of rims I acquired due to the existing set on the vehicle having a bent rim. The first issue I encountered happened when these tire were purchased. I was removing the lugs a couple weeks later which seem to be torqued way beyond manufacturer specifications. While doing this I noticed that several things were in bad shape. These were my tie rods, upper and lower ball joints and wheel hub. I am not blaming the wear on these parts on the service, but I am blaming the lack of communication about poor condition they were in not being brought to my attention. The front tires had at least 1 of play in every direction. Im no longer certified as a Class A Automotive tech, but even I know that: 1: the vehicle was not safe to drive in that condition. 2: the alignment I had done could in no way be correct with the excessive wear on the front end parts. 3: and that not being told of the situation is negligent to almost being criminal in the State of NJ
Since I was in the middle of replacing the brake components I cussed at the wind, got in my wifes car, and bought replacement parts and did the work the vehicle needed. Its a good thing the front end didnt fail with my newborn son in the truck. But after as for this last visit to swap tires from old rims to new rims, with a balance being done on each and an alignment, for starters I made an appointment where I was quoted $78.00 with tax total, and I agreed to drop off the vehicle on Saturday. However I was given the opportunity to have the work done Friday so I called to move up the appointment where I was quoted a second price of $100.00 by a different clerk. Where does this extra money go? That would be my first question. After correcting here and getting the original price I was quoted reinstated, I agreed to drop off the vehicle Friday morning and did so. I received a call Friday evening after the work was being completed that my lugs were swollen and if they were put back on my truck I would NEVER get them back off again. This distressed me greatly and I told the counter girl that I would be down shortly to examine the situation and put the tires on myself. After arriving at the Denville shop I was told this was something I could not do. The manager (9 Stephan) proceeded to show me my lugs which appeared in working condition to me. The threads were not stripped and they were usable. Now if they were trying to sell me a set of lug nuts this should have been conveyed to me before any work was done to the vehicle so I could agree to the amended work order. Not after the work agreed upon was almost completed. Using terror tactics to sell a new part. The manager (9 Stephan) then told me he was going to mount my tires using a torque wrench and setting it 150 lbft. This is way over Dodges set torque of 130 lbft. What really *** me about this is that after he showed me a torque wrench set to this rate he grabbed a 1/2 drive air gun and wrenched my lug nuts down to over 350 lbft of torque. I know this was done because I tried to use my Snap-On Government issued torque wrench remove them and it maxes at 350 lbft. Hoping they werent gulled on my lugs I had to use my 3/4 drive breaker bar WITH a 6 extension pipe to get the lugs to break free. Luckily there was no damage to the mounting lugs on my brand new hubs. The service Technician (33 Steven) did not return my old aluminum rims to me, and had to be asked to do so. This tells me that he could have been trying to keep them for the scrap value of metal, and gave me a menacing, angry look after being asked to bring them to me (9 Stephan). What surprises me most of all is that a certified Technician (33 Steven) did not realize that on a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 the lugs are 9/16-18 pitch with 7/8 SAE socket required to remove and tighten them not a 23mm which is what they used. Even more (9 Stephan) tried to convince me that the air wrench had a variable pressure setting to control maximum torque output, which even an idiot would know is a lie. To top it all off, only 3 of my 4 tires were balanced requiring me to go to a different establishment to remedy this issue. I found it astounding at the amount of planned incompetence and flat out *** customer service that is allowed to exist this shop by management. I understand that most people dont really understand the workings of their vehicles and only have shops repair them, but I am not in this category and Im extremely pissed off about level of mistreatment in the hopes of ignorance that goes on here. I believe this is to point of being criminal, and since my son is transported daily in my vehicle and this obtuse, negligence and customer abuse places his life in danger. I will be contacting the BBB and several other agencies on the treatment I had to suffer at your shop and I will never use your products or service facilities again.

Verified Reviewer | Decatur, GeorgiaMy mother
This is an email I sent to corporate office
I am writing this email but I'm doing it with a lot of restraint. The words I'm using are carefully thought out, not to sound irate or unreasonable.
My mother took her 2015 Nissan Sentra to a "Complete Auto Care " facility in Decatur, Georgia to have her brakes checked because when she would apply her brakes she would hear a unusual noise.
She was charged $528 for new brakes and rotors in the front. Prior to that visit on 09/05/2022 I personally replaced the brakes on that car myself. During the 4 or 5 years that we have owned the rear brakes have never been checked or changed. The store in Decatur allegedly checked them on 09/05/2022.
On the evening of September 5th, I inquired with my mother as to why her brakes still sounded like they needed to be serviced.
On 09/12, I took the car back up to the store and had them to check it again. I was told that they saw nothing wrong and that the noise was from the fact that the new pads had to adjust to the new rotors and the sound would go away the more it's driven.
Fast forward to yesterday. 09/27. I took my mother's car up to the store this morning.
I asked them to check the brakes a second time. When they removed the rear brake drums the brake shoes were down to the metal so the sound I was hearing confirmed I was right. To put it mildly I am livid. Did they have my mother riding around on a death trap, they lied to me when I took it up there on the 12th.There's no way those brakes could go from being perfectly fine to the condition that they were in, in such a short period of time.
Somebody never checked the rear brakes and lied and said they did. Meanwhile they let my mother ride away with a vehicle that could have easily caused her to be in an accident.
But this is what bothered me the most.
After the sales associate agreed that the brakes were in such a bad condition and that they had to have been in bad shape for a long time. He had the audacity to tell me that he wouldn't repair the back brakes for free and the cost for fixing them would be an additional $550.
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Check the condition of your brakes with your own eyes

Took care into Firestone had two codes cyclinder 4 misfire and a P0101 code for MAF. Paid over 1300 dollars and my P0101 code keeps coming on.
After the intitial appointment I told the mechanic and service advisor that my car is making a strange noise talked to the manager Michael Walton and he told me to bring it back. Just left on Sat, March 18 and still making a rough idle and I keep hearing the noise for them to replace the MAF again and its still not working. They charged me again 465 and had to come back for a refund bc of the warranty. Told the service advisor Ashton and spoke to the mechanic joe and they ensured me it was the alternator when I know its not.
On my way home guess what happen the code came on again. On top of that mechanic broke my air intake its loose and for me to have paid for a tune up no PCV valve was changed. I dont think they cleaned the throttle body bc its not on any of my receipts. At this point l.
I wanna sell Firestone my car because this is ridiculous. Pay good honest mechanics because you guys are robbing people blind.
